Semiotics is based on the chakra system and
auto-writing; linking body vibrations to spiritual energy using the chakras seven colours and its frequencies. I have used design and printing elements to show the associated glands of the seven chakras and connect them to their colour frequencies.
The usage of the seven colours in the collection designate between lower and higher realms of the spiritual world. This is done by having the lower frequency colours with less auto-writing printed on and the higher frequency with progressive auto-writing.
The collection, Semiotics, expresses symbols and signs through the chakra system and auto-writing. Design elements such as the Otoshiana and printing onto fabric have been used to symbolize where the seven glands of the chakras are placed within oneself. This then is followed by the key colours that are my colour palette.
Semiotics is a sophisticated collection with simple silhouettes along with compound design elements to mark out the associated glands of the seven chakras. It leaves one being aware about their body vibrations and the spiritual world.
